"Alkistis Markoulaki is a Psychologist.

She studied at the Psychology Program of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychology in a postgraduate program at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. Afterwards, she completed a one-year experiential and training course in Drama and Play Therapy at the psychotherapy training centre for lifelong learning "The Erma". Since then, she has been trained in Systemic Psychotherapy at the Athenian Center for the Study of Man.

Since 2013, she has worked in pre-school education settings, providing support to children with special needs, in the Netherlands and Greece. For the last 3 years, she has been working as a psychologist with children, adolescents and parents, in support structures for refugee populations, while being trained in loss and grief management, post-traumatic stress and mental health of children and adolescents."
